Dusty Boy Designs is an award winning Irish stationery company based in the heart of Ireland’s countryside, founded and owned by husband and wife duo Justin Campbell and Kate Rose Crean.

Justins meticulous eye for detail and design, coupled with Kate’s creativity and vision, make Dusty Boy what it is today – an exciting business that is passionate, fun, but most of all beautiful!  Each piece of work is lovingly designed and produced with great care from their home studio in Wexford, where they create a product and provide a service that they are incredibly proud to share.

Dusty Boy offers both completely custom and collection stationery where nothing is impossible.  If you want your stationery to tell your story in a way that is inviting, extraordinary and yours.

Justin, born and raised in South Africa, was running his own second hand bookstore, before he fell madly in love with Kate and moved lock, stock and barrel to the lovely shores of Ireland, completed his degree in Visual Communications and set up Dusty Boy Designs.  His key role is in design, cultivating client relationships, managing quality manufacturing and overseeing the operations of the company.

Kate loves colour, texture and beauty in all its forms as well as Nature in its abundance.  Having completed her Communications Degree from DCU, she studied Make Up Artistry in Dun Laoighaire, Dublin and is now running her own very successful business  which continues to grow and flourish today.  As Creative Director, Kate co-designs Dusty Boys collections and oversees the creative direction of the brand, including marketing, business strategy and product development.

CURRENT STATIONERY TRENDS

2016 sees a big surge in reconnecting with nature through use of soft earthy greens, raw, rustic materials combined with floral and plant pattern.  It’s a beautiful trend which reflects our basic desire to connect with the earth.

The second big trend this year is playful, abstract aesthetic.  This is one of our favourite trends.  It’s loose, free and a lot of fun.  We see patterns that have rhythm, wiggle room and dynamic vibrancy.  It includes pops of pastel brights that have a clean finish and crisp sophistication.

And last but not least the use of metallic’s in the form of gold/bronze and sliver is huge for 2016.  Used alongside colours such as inky blues and blacks combined with sleek geometric pattern brings a glamorous and stylish finish to your wedding.
